FDH Bank on Friday announced new measures aimed at cushioning its customers from possible effects of Covid-19 pandemic.
Among other things, the bank has slashed its digital mobile banking fees by 40 percent to encourage customers to transact digitally as a way of maintaining physical distance.
The bank has also opened a three months window for affected SMEs and Retail customers to waive loan repayments upon request.
Borrowers that have been negatively and wish to obtain relief by extending the loan repayment period and revisiting the loan installment will be considered for the same upon making an application to the bank.
FDH Bank Head of Personal and Business Banking, Kawawa Msapato, said the bank has implemented the measure to protect customers.
“We are also talking to our customers who have been affected by the pandemic and we are able to offer relief for 3 months where we are not going to collect loan installments,” Msapato said.
Msapato urged the banks existing and potential to make the most of its digital banking platforms.
“We are one of those listed as essential services and this means that we will be available in the majority of our branches which are placed across the country.”
The bank has FDH Mobile, WhatsApp banking, Ufulu digital account and One Click online payment solution.
