“This year’s theme is important not to the financial management sector but the country at large. As a country, we need to pool our effort to archive the much needed economic empowerment with or without the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic and other economic challenges.”

In her remarks, ICAM director of education and training Chrissie Jere hailed the bank for sponsoring this year’s conference.

“This year’s topic was selected because of the Covid-19 pandemic that we are experiencing. It’s appropriate that accountants and other stakeholders should meet and discuss how best this can be handled so that businesses should continue flourishing.

“We are expecting 900 delegates to participate in this year’s conference where they will be following the proceeding in five halls due to Covid-19 preventive measures while others will following through Zoom,” she said.
