The two products will offer distinct features and a new landscape in the payments and convenience to customers, according to the bank’s officials.
Speaking during the launch, FDH Head of Transactional banking, Ewn Hiwa, said the new products will provide innovative and manifest deep understanding of the market and needs of customers.
He said: “Our mobile banking comes on both Uninterrupted Supplementary Service Data (USSD) and mobile app which will cater for all segments of our customers.
“Traveling customers using smart phones and those in the Diaspora will benefit from the appas they will be able to transact without data roaming service and can be downloadable Windows, Android and Apple devices,” he said.
Hiwa said FDH Bank is optimistic that customers will use the products as most people have seen how convenient digital platforms can be since there is a migration to digital banking.
The mobile wallet will allow the bank’s customers to create an electronic wallet for any Airtel and TNM number by transferring money direct to a phone number and instantly the wallet will allow customers to withdraw from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at any FDH Bank ATM and money will be dispensed without an ATM card.
To register, customers can remotely use card number and ATM Personal Identification Number (PIN) by dialing *525#on their mobile phones and they can also visit any FDH Bank for guidance.
